Lofton plays trumpet with immense power. One night while playing at One World Theatre, in Austin, he actually cracked the sky and the night cooed like a cat getting her back scratched.
Jeff is an established trumpet player on the Austin Jazz scene. His approach to playing music seems organic and unscripted yet he exhibits precise control over phrases of distinctly charactered notes.
Jeff Lofton could literally blow you away. I believe he is quite aware of his power and consciously chooses to exercise his creative force with a humble gentleness, brushing the air with brilliant, colorful ranges of sound.

I met Jeff & his wife Dean through D.Hills. We all share a love for music. It was a pleasure working with Dean, who is quite skilled in working with creatives. Dean’s free form structure and ability to improvise make obvious the connection in their partnership. It was an awesome opportunity to work with such a talented couple.
